Joon Lee's Tae Kwon Do students are invited to participate in the upcoming tournament at the Chicago Taekwondo Expo in Elgin Illinois on August 30, 2026!  All of our yellow belt or higher students – including Little Dragons – are invited to participate in the Chicago Taekwondo Expo in Elgin, Illinois on August 30. This is a wonderful experience for your child to put their skills to use outside of the classroom, participate in some friendly competition, and witness demonstrations by more advanced students!
Tournament Details: The tournament will take place at Judson College in the Linder Fitness Center, located at 1151 North State Street in Elgin. It will last from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tournament Training: All Joon Lee’s students are required to participate in our additional tournament training classes at our Orland Park school. The schedule for these training classes is as follows: Saturdays, July 18th and 25th, and August 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. It is recommended that you register and pay for both the tournament and tournament training prior to the start of these classes (July 18th). Tournament registration must be finalized by August 15th. Tournament Fees:
Students are able to choose which events they participate in, and are not required to participate in all of them, or more than one. The events at this tournament include forms, breaking boards, sparring and speed kicking. There is also an additional fee of $140 for the tournament training classes (which equates to $20 per class), that shall be paid to our school. Note to participants about event arrival time: We recommend that students and families arrive no later than 1:30 p.m. The demo team performance is an amazing experience, and we would love for you to find good seats and a spot to sit with other Joon Lee's parents!
