Grandmaster Joon Lee is presented with USTGS President Award at the 18th Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony

​Congratulations to 9th Degree Grandmaster Joon Lee for being inducted into the Tae Kwon Do Hall of Fame! He received this honor at the 18th Annual Hall of Fame Awards ceremony held by the United States Taekwondo Grandmasters Society. ​

This is the 6th time that they have ever bestowed the prestigious “Myong-in” or “Virtuoso” award, and Grandmaster Lee received it directly from President Shin as one of only 4 Grandmasters in the entire country to be deemed worthy of the honor. 

After decades of dedication to the art of Tae Kwon Do, the society choose to recognize him as a lifelong proponent of the lifestyle and philosophy of the art, and for his work to spread Tae Kwon Do throughout the Midwest. Grandmaster Lee is known worldwide as a leader in the idea that martial arts is not about fighting your enemy, but about fighting to improve yourself through hard work and discipline, which can be applied to all areas of life. 

As members of the Joon Lee community, we are all proud that he chose to focus on the hundreds of students who have moved up to black belt, instructor, and master through the years, spreading these teachings and becoming leaders of their communities.
